As far as I know, there is no one source for these patches - yet.

We have an upcoming article in The Trading Post that will cover the known examples.

I can post some examples here, but it will take multiple posts.

It's an officer's style of cap badge, and certainly appears to have been locally made.

Hallo. I need more information. I received this cap USA cap badge from a friend. He said it was amongst his father’s stuff which he brought back from WW2. His father was a South African and served as an aircraft mechanic in the desert war (at this stage it seems more in Libya than in Egypt)
This badge is obviously “self-made” and not from the higher quality that one would find with other factory produced badges and there are no words or letter or figures at the back. Any ideas or suggestions?
