General Discussion / Jul-Sept 2018 Trading Post
« Last post by tredhed2 on June 17, 2018, 04:30:52 pm »
It is at the printer now.

It should be mailed the week of July 9th. We always delay this issue due to the numbers of members who wait until the last second to renew. There has to be a cut off point somewhere. I think most of us will agree that we don't need to send out magazines to those who have not paid their dues.

It will be uploaded shortly to this website.

Sept-Oct 2018 is coming right along, and will be pubbed at its regular time.

U.S. Military / 502nd PIR patch WW2, post war or 50 / 60s version?
« Last post by Entje85 on June 02, 2018, 02:27:40 pm »
Hi Guys,

I was wondering if somebody could help me. Long story short, I recently purchased a 507th ww2 PIR patch and 502nd ww2 PIR patch from the same seller. I'm convinced that the 507th patch is original ww2. The 502nd patch on the other hand has some "issues".  The 502nd patch I got is the small one (3'' version) and looks slightly different from the WW2 versions I saw on the internet.  As far as I could research there are WW2 versions in 3" and 3 3/4', 3 5/8''. I don't think size is the issue here but the appearance. I noticed that the eyes of the 502nd patch I got has more more rectangular eyes than the WW2 versions I saw on the internet.

It's definitely not a repro as far as I know, but is it from the ww2 era, postwar or even later?

Pictures of the patch are included.

I'm not the expert, help is appreciated....

U.S. Army / USAREUR and 7th Army Suooprt Command DI?
« Last post by on April 24, 2018, 01:03:17 pm »
I purchased this DI on line with the identification "NATO Joint HQ Support Command".  I believe this to be incorrect.  I think it is some part of the combined USAREUR and 7th Army Headquarters.  The two major headquarters combined in 1966, which seems to fit the German-made clutchback.  Can anyone confirm?

We picked up some more floor space and added more tables. It's not too late to get in, I have a couple tables left. More info at:

U.S. Army / Re: Unknown unit insignia on wood sign. "Win or Die" motto. Help.

Mottos were shared by diff units.

If it were a mission, there would be a cross on it. The CA grizzly faces sinister on the flag and on the crests of CA NG units or units w/ a NG history.

Have u checked w/ Aresta in Hawaii? This would be right up his alley.
