19th Corps Cavalry Troops

Here's one I have never seen before. Standard pre-war Corps troops patches. Too bad it is mothed.

Hi Bob

I thought the pre WWII HHC XIXth Corp had a Gold or yellow base with a red bell. It looks circa late 30's early 40's schiffli made on felt.

I also can't find any reference to a cavalry troop assigned during the inter war period-maybe with HHC Special Troops?

Can we confirm this is definitely for a "cavalry" troop or  part of the design.

Bob,
Here is one in pristine condition next to the more common all-embroidered version.  We have always considered the one on felt as just an older, and much less common variation.  It is the same except for materials.  Yours is maybe only the second or third one we have seen on felt.  Very scarce.
